   how do you claim the points that are on your videos and what happens with them?

   You don't claim points. Points are only used for ranking purposes. The users with the most points on any given day have their videos come up first on the train. For videos with the same number of daily points, all-time points are used as the tiebreaker.

   so if i dont get a high ranking does this mean i wont have any views?

   Higher rankings mean more views. Of course, there are other factors at play such as the length, language, and quality of your video... But yes, generally more points means more views.
